Who is "Us"?

I am Janine and I'm the "Artist". The reason the word "Artist" is in quotes is because that's what my husband insists that I am! I on the other hand really struggle to ascribe that word to myself and much prefer "crafter, creator,designer" which , despite being much more of a mouthfull, fits my ever evolving ADHD fuelled talents much better (in my humble opinion!). Either way, I make all the stuff and he does a brilliant job of clearing up after me!

It wouldn't be right if I didn't give my husband Angus huge credit for being an integral part of the "Us" in "Get The Folk Art", because he is, and always has been, my rock. My constant source of encouragement, inspiration, motivation and love. Big up Mr Husband!

Is it though? Really?! Folk Art?

Well, that might depend on how you interpret the definition of "Folk Art" in a contemporary context. But I freely admit to manipulating the concept of Folk Art into what I consider to be a nice play on words! Is it Folk Art? I'll let you decide. Is is a catchy, cheeky brand name? In my opinion, YES! And if it's not your thing.... maybe you should get the Folk Art of here!
